Tannoy Kingdom Royal
The Kingdom Royal is Tannoy's flagship loudspeaker in terms of technical expertise and acoustic performance. The concept fuses Tannoy’s decades of experience in loudspeaker design with the very latest in materials an engineering technology to deliver a loudspeaker of unrivalled technical performance and musical communication. Its top-class build quality is complimented with a sumptuous finish that mixes textures and colours in a very contemporary evolution of Tannoy’s Prestige loudspeaker range.
The main cabinet is constructed from horizontal; layers of high density fibreboard that are bonded together and then machined out to create a very precise loudspeaker cavity. An outer plywood wrap, formed from birch trees in slow growing regions for their specific acoustic properties, adds significant strength and rigidity to the massive cabinet structure. Traditional wood veneer side panels are finished in contemporary deep gloss lacquer, while the smooth satin finish chassis and baffle paintwork, gives the design an elegant style. Complementary trim includes brown Italian leather for the SuperTweeter dispersion panel, gold anodised metalwork and a custom weave grille cloth that has been selected to blend the richness of the wood veneer and subtlety of the stain paint.
Subtle, sophisticated and classically good looking with the heavyweight weave-cloth grille in place, yet bold, imposing and dynamic with the grilles removed, the Kingdom Royal is a speaker that spans stylistic genres with ease. Built in Tannoy’s UK factory to the very best engineering and quality standards, each Kingdom Royal loudspeaker weighs 120kg and is supplied with a hand-crafted wooden box for the accessories. For those who demand the best and are looking for true no-compromise acoustic design, the kingdom Royal is the loudspeaker by which all others will be judged.
