Diapason Karis III

The Karis NW is the `baby` of Diapason`s Reference series.

Diminutive in size it may be, but in terms of sound it has a big, generous heart. Thanks to Diapason`s Direct Drive technology – which enables the bass/mid driver to be connected directly to the amplifier without the usual low-pass filter – there is real clarity, immediacy, a natural rightness and pleasing balance to the musical presentation.

The high-pass crossover circuit is fully hard-wired with Van den Hul CS cable in oxygen-free silver coated copper. And the cabinet, made of solid Italian Canaletto walnut is a little work of art in its own right, but its shape and wood thickness are the end-result of the designer`s quest for resonance-damping.

The Karis NW may be mounted in a bookshelf or on stands, in which case the original Diapason 1/M stands are recommended as they are of reasonable height for most listening rooms, and they also contribute to the sound quality.
